At Batterjee Medical College (BMC), medical education is a lifestyle lived every day in a community where cultures, languages, and ambitions meet. That way of life has earned BMC second place in the Arab region for International Outlook in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Rankings 2027, with a score of 99.3 out of 100. The College also placed in the 101–125 band overall among 369 institutions across the region.
The recognition comes a few weeks after BMC ranked second in the world on the same indicator in the THE World University Rankings 2027. It reflects a campus where global thinking is not an aspiration but a daily reality. Students and faculty from around the world learn, practice, and grow together, carrying that experience into the future of healthcare.
The results were unveiled in Ben Guerir, Morocco, at the Arab Universities Summit (3–5 November 2026), convened by THE and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) under the theme "Collaboration and progress: Advancing excellence across Arab higher education." BMC joined the region's academic leaders to represent Saudi higher education. It also shared a model of medical education built around the whole person, not just the profession, and opened new paths for partnership.
BMC's placement in the 301–400 band globally in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 extends this philosophy beyond campus, to the health of communities and the world we share.
With this momentum, BMC moves forward with purpose. It will continue to shape medical education as a lifestyle and help establish the Kingdom as a global destination for medical education, in step with Saudi Vision 2030.
